Research shows that a regular practice of meditation increases mindfulness (an awareness of the present that enhances the ability to focus, express creativity, and problem solve). Naturescape media scenes were introduced at Agape International Spiritual Center two years ago where 1000s of participants meditate weekly for a 1/2-hour before services. The Nature scenes helped mediation new comers and old timers a like. The scenes assisted in achieving the goals of meditation: presence, connection with the infinite, awareness, calmness and peacefulness.
Studies show the direct correlation between children's exposure to media violence and their level of aggressiveness. Children who rely on aggressive behavior tend to limit their exploration of other problem solving strategies. Children watching programming that teaches appreciation for the subtlety of nature should therefore develop more social skills. We need to cultivate leaders for the future, if we are to build the sustainable communities that we so desperately need to save our endangered planet.
According
to the relatively new field of Ecopsychology:
"There is a synergistic relation between planetary and personal well
being; the needs of one are relevant to the other." We are actively
inviting researchers to use Naturescape Media as a stimulas for intervention
in a variety of health issues.
