Paula Achter's award winning UCLA thesis film "The Cure of Enki" (Best Cinematography) is a modern adaptation of a Sumerian fertility myth connecting today's environmental crises to our personal identity crisis due to our separation from nature. The ancient wisdom of using natural metaphors is still valid today. Namely, all that transpires is part of a cycle. Our inner and outer balance and wisdom must eventually return to heal this planetary ecological catastrophe.
We
enjoy sharing the beautiful undis-turbed nooks and crannies tucked away
on this planet. Our hope is that with greater awareness and celebration
of these places, we can better protect them and increase their numbers.
We welcome suggestions
and invitations to your treasured locations to bring their healing beauty
to the consciousness of others.
In Touch I, Paula Achter, want to help put you in touch with nature in your everyday life. I agree with the findings of the relatively new field of ecopsychology. Our personal well- being is interrelated to that of the planet's and nature provides the means to heal ourselves. I want to help you feel the calm that gentle shifts in light and sound can give you when you place yourself in an environment of undisturbed nature.
